Fire Research Wind-tunnel

This facility, the only of its kind in the world, is designed to study the effects of wind on the propagation of fire and smoke. Research planned for the facility includes the use of models in research to clarify how urban fires spread and the effectiveness of evacuation areas, and research to predict the influence of wind on the propagation of fires in urban areas and the spread of fires and smoke in high-rise buildings.
