Acoustic Laboratory

The anechoic room
The anechoic room

This laboratory has two anechoic rooms, four reverberation rooms, a room for preparing measurement, room for acoustics analysis, and various equipment to measure acoustic characteristics (an acoustic-intensity measurement device, an experimental model analysis system, etc.) These facilities are primarily used to study sound insulation in buildings and sound insulation performance of building elements. The reverberation rooms are also used as standard test facilities for verifying compliance with the sound-reduction index for walls based on the Building Standards Law.
