Latin American Earthquake Engineering Course will start from this month at BRI targeting 16 participants from 8 Latin American countries

  This year again, from May 19th, BRI will conduct Latin American Earthquake Engineering Course (short period training course for two months) with 16 participants selected from each country namely Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Venezuela. The final stage for this course will take place away from Japan in El Salvador, where structural experiments will be conducted. For effectiveness, training will be conducted in Spanish.

  This course aims for deeper understanding of earthquake-resistant technology and it's dissemination for buildings such as housings, schools, hospitals, and etc. which immediate countermeasures in each of the participants'country are needed.

Number of participants: 16 ( 2 from Chile, 2 from Colombia, 2 from Dominican Republic, 3 from El Salvador, 1 from Mexico, 2 from Nicaragua, 2 from Peru, and 2 from Venezuela)
